How Our Laser Tattoo Removal Works
The good news is that our office has access to an innovative and effective method of tattoo removal known as laser tattoo removal. Not only is this method faster and more effective than many alternatives, but it is also much safer and less invasive. Specifically, these high intensity lasers work to remove tattoos by targeting and breaking up the ink pigment within the skin. After a few weeks, the skin then re-absorbs the smaller ink particles naturally and, ultimately, the tattoo is no longer visible. Typically, multiple sessions are required to achieve the desired results, but you will notice a difference with each session. Furthermore, the lasers used with this method of tattoo removal won’t damage the skin tissue or your chromosomes.
What to Expect
The aesthetic laser we use in our office is the MedLite C6 by Cynosure. This particular laser is equipped with Precision Beam Technology for accurate, consistent results.
If you’re interested in laser tattoo removal, you may be wondering what to expect from the process. For starters, you can generally expect the process to take between four and six weeks; this is typically the amount of time it takes for the body to break down and naturally re-absorb the ink.
Costs and Determining Factors
The cost of laser tattoo removal is determined by the number of treatment sessions. Factors that may affect the cost may include:
- size of tattoo
- type of ink
- age of tattoo
You can typically expect the cost of one treatment to range between $150 and $400 for a small tattoo (about 2″ by 2″), whereas a larger tattoo of 4″ x 4″ or bigger may cost more. To learn more about laser tattoo removal or to schedule your free consultation, call our office at 914-295-2202.
