Have you heard of microblading? If you haven’t heard about it yet, you will very soon. It’s a new high-tech way to enhance your eyebrows, with beautiful, natural-looking results. The best part is that it’s semi-permanent. Imagine the freedom of not having to pencil in your brows every morning, brush them, or fuss with eyebrow gel. If you want your brows to look fuller, microblading is the way to go for brows that look beautiful all of the time. Find out why New York is getting so excited about microblading!
If you have decided to try microblading, here’s what you need to know:
Getting Ready for Your Microblading Procedure
For the week before your appointment, avoid drinking alcohol or taking aspirin or other blood thinners, and stop using retinol.
What Happens During Your Microblading Procedure
When you go to a high-quality microblading center, you will first talk to a technician, who will consult with you on how you want your eyebrows to look. The technician will explain the procedure, answer any questions you may have, and draw an outline of your new brow shape on your face.
Then you lie down and the technician will apply a numbing cream to your eyebrow area. The technician will use a special manual tool to draw in your new eyebrows one new “hair” at a time by applying pigment into the top layer of your skin.
As soon as the technician is done, your brows will look great. It’s the ultimate in instant gratification.
What to Do After Your Procedure
A little tender loving care will keep your new brows looking great for a long time. For the first week after your procedure, keep your new eyebrows dry. Avoid workouts where you will sweat a lot, and keep water away from your brows when you wash your face. Use the ointment you were given during your appointment. For best results, go back for a touch-up at the time that your technician recommends.
